Out-Of-Home advertising has been on the rise and overlooked for a while. Digital kiosk has been rising from the ground in urban environments and retail settings. These kiosks use a facade of enhancing your experience but are monetizing visitors in the process. The practice of using interactive touch screen technology in public settings to deliver information is a new platform in digital media today. Kiosk communicates with visitors using many different techniques such as; touch screen, RFID, facial recognition, payment processing, data exchange. Gathering data along the way and not always with your consent. In the coming weeks, I will develop a report on; what these technologies are and how they collect and use their data.
